Loyalfans: How did you get started in the virtual entertainment world?
Blair Sophia/BlairsCompanion: I entered the virtual entertainment world in late March 2020 at the start of the COVID-19 lockdowns in search of a safe and fun work-from-home side hustle. I did plenty of research beforehand, so I knew competition would be fierce. I’ve been more successful than I expected, however, and the generosity of my fans has been a wonderful surprise.
We all know that being an online content creator is a 24/7 job. How do you keep up with the workflow and demands of today’s industry?
Generally, an influencer will spend about 20% of her time actually creating content and 80% of her time marketing herself on social media. The pressure to post new content every day is real, however, my personal philosophy is that we look our best for our fans when we are well-rested and genuinely happy. Therefore, I allow myself slack in this area in order to emphasize quality over quantity.
What are some other things people think are easy about your job but are actually really challenging?
Creating photos and videos that actually look good is not easy! Professional movies look as good as they do because they have top-notch equipment and teams of experts who’ve spent years learning and honing their craft. Creating proper lighting and finding good camera angles at home is a lot trickier than you think.
In terms of tech and gear, what do you think are the most useful things to have when you’re very first starting out?
A ring light and a phone with a high-quality camera are must-haves! I don’t recommend any other equipment if you are just starting out. Focus instead on improving your photography, videography, and acting skills. A $2,000 DSLR camera is useless if you don’t know how to create good lighting.
What’s your favorite feature on Loyalfans?

What’s your down time ritual of choice?
I love visiting nature parks and hiking and observing wildlife in different habitats. At home, I’ll cuddle with my cat and watch cartoons.
