Jessi Belle will be the first to tell you — she’s not for everyone!
“I am not ‘Mistress,’ ‘Princess,’ or what the fuck else you want to call me. I am a verbal humiliatrix. I get in your head, fuck around, make you self conscious, and make you cry. I am not for everyone, especially those that are pussies and are looking to be coddled,” she writes in her Loyalfans bio. And this sounds rough… as well as brilliant!
There’s something to be said about knowing your fans and what they want — as well as knowing that not everyone wants to pick up what you’re putting’ down. Though it can be difficult, there’s some very deep wisdom in this lesson.
Jessi Belle recently answered some of our questions about her work and — most significantly — keeping that work/life balance.

Loyalfans: How did you start in the business?
Jessi Belle: I started in the industry when I needed a change. I was in between jobs and was looking for something I could do… and I just celebrated my 10th anniversary this May! It’s definitely better than I had expected. It’s great to be your own boss and set your own hours. It’s also difficult though, and you can suffer burnout pretty easily.
We all know that being an online content creator is a 24/7 job. How do you keep up with the workflow and demands of today’s industry?
I write everything down, check out new trends, and take much needed breaks to keep me sane! It’s important to keep up with changes on the industry, so doing a little research goes a long way.
I have two days off a week, which are the same as my husband’s days off. I can’t allow myself to work too much, so I give myself this time off to relax and play PC games with him.
What’s the most useful feature on Loyalfans?
I love how easy it is to upload content. One of the biggest tasks as a content creator is uploading content, but it’s so easy here! No one likes having to enter a ton of information on things that don’t require that much effort. Some videos just sell themselves!
What is the one key piece of advice you have for other models and creators?
You have to take breaks and put the work away. So many of us do this as our only job, and it can be pretty secluded. It’s important to be able to step away and get out of the house to do anything else that’s not work-related!
Mental health is important. Don’t let the few bad apples spoil the bunch. People are notoriously critical and often mean when it comes to communicating on the internet. It’s best not to argue with them. Just block and move on. Dwelling on those few bad apples only hurts yourself.
What’s one thing you do for work that’s “unexpected”…like, no one does this except you?
I might not be the only one, but probably one of the very few that uses song titles and lyrics as video ideas! I love listening to music, and lyrics sometimes stick with me and really work as a good foundation for a video.
Some that stuck with me are “I want to f**king tear you apart,” “There is no you, there is only me,” and “Got you where I want you.” Being a humiliatix makes the heavier songs a little more useful!
I also like going through some of my older videos and put a brand new spin on them or build upon ideas I had before. I get a lot of really great suggestions from my fans, and they always end up being my best sellers. Who knows better than the people buying my content?!
Best tech or gear hack?
A really good condenser microphone is an absolute must. People need to be able to hear you and not everything else around you.
A close second is cable management. If you move around a lot you need to know what cable goes to what and not trip over your wires!
What is the funniest thing that’s happened to you while working?
When I cammed as a couple with my husband I had a curious cat that decided they wanted to be front and center in front of the webcam. They completely blocked out the view, but he was a handsome boy so he definitely deserved all eyes on him!
What are some other things people think are easy about your job but are actually really challenging?
They think because we work from home and set our own hours that it must be so simple. It’s really complicated to have new and fresh ideas, update across all of your sites, and answer all kinds of messages from hundreds and thousands of people.
You’re basically always at work. When you work from home there’s no real escape. When I first started camming, I was spending 10-12 hours every single day online talking to hundreds of people. It’s hard to stay interesting and relevant.
You’re also not guaranteed to make money. Some videos might be great money makers and others a flop. Different times of the year also affect your income. I spend a lot of time keeping track of my content and sales as well as doing research so I can keep up with trends. It’s a never ending task!
