Loyalfans: How did you get started in online content creation?
Kacey Lynn Rae: One of my friends did it, and I’ve always been interested in it so i thought I’d give it a go!
How do you keep up with the workflow and demands of today’s 24/7 industry?
I work a l o t — I always try to keep up with everything but make sure I give myself well deserved breaks.
What are some other things people think are easy about your job but are actually really challenging?
I feel like people tend to think it’s easy to do, but really it can be so draining having to be on and on top all the time.
What’s the most useful feature on Loyalfans IYO?
It would have to be the “public, followers, subscribers” post feature. I love that I can choose exactly who I want to see a specific post because it gives me the opportunity to reach wider but also to give my subscribers something intimate.
What was your first big online goal you want to hit?
My first goal was to earn $1000 because I never earned that as an independent creator!
In terms of gear and tech, what do you think are the most useful things to have when you’re very first starting out online?
My ring light is definitely important. That and a stand for your phone or camera would be the most important thing for content.
What’s one thing you do for work that’s “unexpected”…like, no one does this except YOU?
I make beta males pay my bills. I always heard about it but I never thought it was an actual thing — and now I do it for a living.
What’s your go-to selfcare activity or down time ritual of choice?
A hot shower, skincare, and a foot bath with my favorite movie is essential to keep your inner peace while flooded in messages. Also, dancing to my favorite movie at 3am is a really good way to get some serotonin going. It’s the little things!
Who is your peer mentor, inspiration, or someone you just admire or respect in the industry?
I have to say myself because in my world I always come first. That sounds selfish, but it’s really just a self care thing!
Besides working, what’s your favorite pastime or hobby?
I absolutely love photography which is why I also love this business so much. I can do my hobby and my business all at the same time.
